I'll have to start back in December and tell you that we met your crazy Daddy's family! This was an experience, likely of which I wont ever forget.
We got to Kentucky on December 19th to stay for an entire week. Daddy's town, is a simple little one stop-light town, tucked in the beautiful mountains, away from the modern world. No shopping malls, no bustling pedestrians anxious to get to where they are going...Just good people, with the friendliest smiles. If mommy weren't such a city girl, I could imagine myself in a place like this. You can leave your keys in the ignition and the doors unlocked. The Horton's (Daddy's mom's family) are well known throughout the sleepy town of Hyden for their years in business with the General Store and as educators in the school system. Technically its called, Horton's Hardware, but I like to think in terms of "Leave it to Beaver" therefore, in my mind, its a General Store.
Run by your Great PawPaw and Granny, everyone in the town needs them for something or other. Nana Lesley works to help less fortunate kids as a social worker, and uncle Todd is the assistant principle. I found myself back in the principles office when we went home....Its been a long time since Ive been there and this time was a lot more comforting :)
By this time, Im about 14 weeks pregnant. The traveling caused a lot of pressure to build up in my legs, so much that they would randomly go numb while we were staying there. I called your Tia, Lindsay, and she told me to get to the emergency room right quick! Since the family knows everyone, Lesley called up the Doctor and got us right in to make sure nothing was wrong with my legs. I went back for an ultrasound of my veins to ensure that there weren't any blood clots and the ultrasound tech asked me if we wanted to take a peek :) Duh, of course I want to see! But can you do me a favor and go out and get my husband and my mother in law (to be)...
Five minutes later, Nana Lesly and Daddy came in to see you on the screen too!
You actually put on the acrobatic skills and started rolling and kicking like crazy :)
Here is what we saw!
